Step 2 – Unscrew The Filter Housing
The next step is to unscrew the filter housing or cartridge carefully. Please don’t apply force or else you might end up cracking the filter cartridge.
Step 3 – Clean The Filter Housing
Once you have the filter housing in your hand, remove the old filter out and clean the housing with either water or bleach. Make sure the ring inside is nice and clean.
Step 4 – Pop The New Filter Back In
Now that you took care of the clean up, pop the new filter back into the filter housing and reattach it. Hand tightening should be enough. Don’t give it a rough twist or you might end up damaging the threads.
Step 5 – Turn The Water Pressure Back On
Once done, slowly turn the water supply back on so that the filter housing fills up and then shut it off again.
